There were tears shed, standing ovations and generous donations as the most prestigious event in vaping shattered all expectations on Friday May 3 in Birmingham.
The fourth annual Vapouround Awards, sponsored by Vape Dinner Lady, moved to a new venue this year at the National Conference Centre, where more than 550 guests enjoyed a gala dinner and emotional awards ceremony.
Entertainer Nigel Mead teamed up with long-time awards host Ashley Hansen as the pair introduced four award categories and a grand total of 24 awards throughout the night.
Among the big winners were Peter Savage, founder of Premier E-Cigs. Sarah Wright, a member of the Premier team, presented Peter with the award for Vaper of the Year with rapturous applause going to the humble, well-deserved winner.
Horizon Vape Distro were the night’s big winners, winning first place in two categories, Tank of the Year and Innovation of the Year for the Vzone Preco Tank. They also bagged third place in the Best Mod category.
Commenting on the fourth consecutive year of Vapouround Awards, founding owner Paul Caplin said:
“As a company, we spend many months preparing for this one night. It’s a celebration of the UK and global industries coming together at the Vaper Expo, the top players and the leaders in innovation and development which keep this sector growing.
“It’s always an emotional night but this year’s awards ceremony was especially full of passion with the best of the business under one roof.
“From manufacturers to dedicated individuals to CBD, the variety of companies and individuals in attendance reflected the changes that have taken place in the vape industry in the past 12 months.
“Congratulations to all of the 2019 winners for their contribution to the industry and a special thank you to our award category sponsors.”
