IVG e-liquid manfuacturer Acme Vape Ltd has announced plans to invest £5m in an expansion that will bring 150 new jobs to the local community.

The Preston-based company already has international offices in New York and Dubai, but now, UK workers are set to reap the benefits of the company’s growth.

The new investment will see the development of a brand new 80,000 sq ft HQ in Fulwood, Preston, allowing the company to achieve further growth in the UK and international markets.

The site plans, which have now been approved, show that the new facilities will accommodate over 300 employees, creating over 150 new jobs for UK workers in the process.

The development will feature several automated production facilities, meeting and networking areas, modern training facilities along with sales and marketing offices.

CEO, Ahsan Bawa, said:

““We continue to see growing demand as consumers switch from smoking to vaping and we are gearing up to provide high quality brands for consumers as well as education and expertise to our trade partners.

“We aim to take our brands and the vaping industry to the next level, this is why we are investing in our staff, manufacturing, technology and logistics, creating over 150 new jobs in the process and paving the way for our future.

“Our flagship brand – IVG – has been a fantastic success and continues to grow strongly both in the UK and in international markets.”

IVG has enjoyed a meteoric rise over the last few years both domestically and abroad, winning multiple awards in the process, including Best Menthol at the 2019 Vapouround Awards.

And in January this year, the company announced that its e-liquids would be sold in 22 airports across the UK.

Bawa said that airport sales presented ‘a fantastic opportunity, not only for vapers but also for smokers wanting to switch to vaping worldwide.’
