Vaporesso has a reputation for designing reliable and stylish devices whilst keeping up with the ever-evolving features of vaping hardware.

The Vaporesso GTX GO 40 looks similar to many other pen-style vapes, with the classic cylindrical shape and petite size. It has just one button as well as a USB C port.

The outside is incredibly sleek and understated, adding further to its user-friendly nature.

I simply loved the no-nonsense aesthetic of this kit which is available in several colours and finishes including metallic rainbow, matte black and bright red.

This device is discreet and pocket-friendly. It feels solid to hold and has a well-balanced lightweight feel to it, yet still retains a good level of build quality. By no means does it feel cheap or run of the mill.

A single fire button on the side is used to vape and also allows you to switch the device on or off by pressing it five times. Press the button three times, and you can cycle through three different power settings: red – low, blue-medium and green-high, all indicated by the LED light behind the fire button. I thought that this was a nice touch allowing vapers to choose their preferred power settings when vaping.

The GTX GO 40 features an internal 1500mAh battery which lasted me almost a full day of light-to-moderate usage. It can be charged swiftly via a one amp USB-C and battery life is indicated by LED lights behind the fire button, Green (70-100%), Blue (30-70%) and Red (0-30%).

The magnetic pod sits tightly and flush on the top of the kit, with absolutely no looseness or rattling. Airflow is easily adjusted by rotating the pod and this kit works great for all inhale types, from a super-tight MTL straight through to a relatively loose DTL.

The pod is also very straightforward to fill. The top part is loosened by unscrewing anti-clockwise, revealing a small rubber fill port that works great at keeping leakages at bay. I really appreciated that the glass was fully transparent, allowing me to easily see how full the tank was, removing any chances of overfilling.

This kit comes with only one coil included, something I saw as a minor inconvenience. However, the supplied 0.6 Ohm mesh coil was rated between 20-30W and delivered decent flavour and modest vapour.

Coil longevity is what you’d expect for typical sub ohm vaping with high VG e-liquids, and lasted me roughly a week before dying out.

Prositives:

  • A great choice for new vapers
  • Easy to operate
  • Very affordable
  • Lightweight
  • Easy to see the e-liquid leve in the tank

Negatives:

  • Battery life could be better
  • It’d be great if another coil was included with the kit
