Geekvape Wenax M1 Review

ADVERTISMENT: Flonq AD

The latest addition to the Geekvape Wenax line, the M1 is designed for beginner vapers but offers a lot that experienced vapers would enjoy as well. Here’s what I thought of the Wenax M1.

Wenax M1 specifications:

  • Battery capacity: 800mAh
  • Output power: 9-16W
  • Capacity: 2ml
  • Weight: 34g

Weighing in at just 34g it’s very lightweight, however the metallic build gives it the feel of quality and durability that’s always important.

The packaging for the M1 was very barebones, making a welcome and simplistic change to the ‘in-your-face’ designs you often find on other products.

Upon opening you’ll find a Wenax M1 battery and a pre-installed pod, with nothing in the way of manuals or chargers.

The M1 is a cylindrical pen with a charging port on the bottom and a small LED light on the front.

The LED light gives a rough idea of the battery life, turning green when charged, blue when the device is starting to run low and red when you need to put the M1 on charge.

Continuing with the very simplistic look of the packaging, there are also no buttons on the battery unit of this draw-activated device, creating an uncomplicated and sleek look that I think will really appeal to new starters.

Key features

The M1 features an 800mAh internal battery, which was more than I was expecting for a such a small device.

I timed just under an hour to charge the Wenax M1 from flat to full, so it seems like it would be reliable enough to take out and about with you.

Plus, the battery life itself was quite surprising, as I was able to vape around 4ml of liquid off a single charge…quite a long time!

The pod is slightly tinted, but not to the point that you can’t see how much liquid is in there and it very easily fits in and out of the battery unit.

Unclicking the pod reveals a fill port on the side, which is covered by an easy-to-remove rubber seal.

Not to mention that the overall experience of filling the pod was pleasant and wholly uncomplicated.

The mouthpiece was quite narrow – perfect for an MTL vape – with some rubber on the top to make it very comfortable to use for long periods of time.

The pods themselves have fixed coils inside, which is handy because you don’t have to worry about changing coils…but it does mean you should make sure you have spare pods ready to go.

There are two varieties of pod available, one featuring a 0.8ohm coil and the other with a 1.2ohm coil – I used the 0.8 ohm for this review.

How does the Wenax M1 perform?

I must say that I was pleasantly surprised by the performance of this device, with the M1 packing a considerable punch and producing a decent amount of vapour.

I was also impressed with the longevity of the pre-installed coil, as I managed to run around 40ml of liquid through it before there was any flavour drop-off.

The draw of the M1 was very tight and there was no kind of adjustable airflow, so if you are an MTL vape then this is a winner…but DTL vapers may need to look elsewhere.

I would only recommend using 50/50 liquids with this device, although it can handle salts or freebase nic with no issues.

What type of vaper would best suit the Wenax M1?

I really do think that the Geekvape Wenax M1 is a fantastic option for those looking to get into the world of vaping.

As an experienced vaper I also really enjoyed it, but I do think it lacks some of the features that more seasoned users will miss.

It’s sleek, well-designed, reliable and easy to use; a great device that would be massively helpful for many of those making the transition from smoking to vaping.

Overall thoughts on the Geekvape Wenax M1

Pros

  • Sleek design
  • Easy to use
  • Decent battery life for a smaller device

Cons

  • No charging cable included
